Our History

John Chapman (1774-1845) was known as Johnny Appleseed because he walked across the United States planting his apple seeds and making a difference in people’s lives ensuring that those seeds would grow trees with apples to feed people in the area. Same name different century and man. John started JASA with a yearning of “Sowing the Seed to Those In Need”. JASA is a Non-Profit Organization with helping the area’s veterans and needy families and individuals in mind. JASA‘s goal is to encourage their clients to strive to gain independence and self confidence to sustain themselves financially in the near future.
